Meet Founder & Head Coach Dan Mijovic
I’m Dan Mijovic, founder and Head Coach of Pro Eleven Football Academy. I’ve loved the game for as long as I can remember. Although I was a late starter in organised football—joining my first club at nine—once I began, I never looked back.
Roots & Influences
From an early age I had the privilege of learning from my uncle, Dusan “Darcy” Purac—a former European professional with Dinamo Zagreb, OFK Beograd, Vojvodina (nicknamed “The White Pelé” in Yugoslavia), and Grasshoppers in Switzerland. After moving to Australia in 1980, he founded the Brazilian Soccer Coaching School (later Dusan Purac International Football Academy). I spent my pre-teen and teenage years there, sharpening my technique and beginning my coaching journey.
Playing Career
I started at Wenty Waratah and developed through Parramatta Eagles (Melita), one of Australia’s leading youth setups at the time. In my late teens I pursued a professional opportunity with FK Novi Sad in Serbia’s second division. While I fell short of securing a long-term pro deal, I returned to Australia to play semi-professionally in the NSW Super League before finishing my playing days in the MWFA Premier League—freeing me to focus fully on coaching.
Coaching Philosophy
My mission is to develop outstanding footballers—and even better people. I draw on:
- Lessons from three different Socceroos coaches I was fortunate to learn under,
- The methodology and technical detail from my uncle’s academy, and
- Insights from my own journey—what I did well and what I’d do differently—to help players accelerate their learning.
Every player is a unique individual. That’s how we coach at Pro Eleven: tailored development, game-realistic problem solving, and a family culture built on high standards.

Meet Coach Gully Downs
Coach Gully our longest serving coach after Head Coaches Dan & Andy. Gully has been with us for 2 years now starting out as a Holiday Clinic coach before stepping into our Term Programs & now leading some of our advanced dev programs.
Gully is an AFC C Diploma accredited coach & outside of our Term programs also coaches at the Pro Eleven led Narrabeen Sports High School Football Development Academy Program as well coaching the U14/1s & U10 ALL STARS at Narrabeen FC
Which is also the club that he has played at for most his junior years making his Premier League First Grade debut last year at only 17yr old whilst having a starting debut for them in a 2-0 win in the @australiacup 2024 competition! In 2025 Gully is playing NPL football with Northern Tigers FC

Meet Coach Ruby Trueman
Ruby has been a key part of Pro Eleven for almost 2 years, leading both our Girls Skills and Girls Advanced programs.
She’s not only a Foundations of Football candidate, but also the 2025 Narrabeen FC Women’s Premier League Player of the Year
Having come through the Narrabeen Sports High School football development program run by Pro Eleven, Ruby is the perfect example of our pathway in action. She now brings that same energy and knowledge back to inspire the next generation.

Meet Coach Polly Hasloch
Polly is another outstanding coach who has been with Pro Eleven for the past 2 years, working across our Girls Skills Development, Girls Advanced, and Holiday Camp programs.
A proud graduate of the Narrabeen Sports High football development program — run by Pro Eleven coaches — Polly continues to set the standard both on and off the pitch.
She is also the Captain of the Narrabeen FC Women’s Premier League team, bringing her leadership and experience into every session she coaches.
Polly embodies everything Pro Eleven stands for: developing players, building confidence, and inspiring a lifelong love of the game.

Meet Coach Marin Pasalich
Marin is our dedicated Goalkeeper Coach, partnering with Pro Eleven since Term 1 through his Clean Sheet Goalkeeping Academy.
A former semi-professional goalkeeper, Marin brings over two decades of coaching experience, with many of his former players now competing at the professional level.
His mission is simple yet powerful:
“Knowledge, passion, and purpose for every goalkeeper.”
